Another fair warning: next week I'll be at #ESEB2025 and probably live-posting quite a bit. I vaguely hope for activity on Mastodon (or at worst Bluesky), but not very optimistic after my experience at #ismbeccb2025 in July.

Captured during my flash talk at #ismbeccb2025 in the combined #bosc / #bokr track, about dealing with “adverse legal landscapes” (aka censorship) when you are an ontologist.

For anyone interested, the slides for the talk are there: f1000research.com/slides/14-72…

@rupdecat based on the talks and posters at #ISMBECCB2025 recently, there are plenty of Computational Biology folk at the very optimistic end of the spectrum ~ and beyond? I am rather skeptical outside controlled niche applications 🤷

Wrapped up my trip to #Liverpool for #ISMBECCB2025 & #BOSC2025 with a Beetles cover band in the (reconstructed) Cavern Club 🪲🤘🎸
Or dear - ISCB team Seth's computer has died, which will hopefully just delay the #ISMBECCB2025 keynote videos going online.
