Mrs. Blathwayt entertained a large number of guests at a pl[e]asant farewell tea at St. Hilda’s Vicarage, Island Bay, on Saturday afternoon, in honour of Mrs. and Miss Greig, who are leaving New Zealand. Mrs. Greig has been a popular member of the ladies’ committee of the church, and also of the choir. Mesdames Proctor and Green and Misses Brenda Colley gave items, and the hostess dispensed dainty afternoon tea. The vicar paid a tribute to the work of Mrs. Greig and her daughter, and wished them bon voyage to Australia, where they will in future reside. Each of the guests of honour was presented with a beautifully-bound book as a gift of remembrance.
