#1 Resident Evil: Apocalypse Reviews, Retrospective And Reaction Videos – After watching the 2002 live-action Resident Evil movie, I left the cinema feeling unsatisfied as it did not have much related to the popular video game series. That film succeeded enough to justify the production of the sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and the first reveal of Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine (based on her appearance in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis) caught my attention. The reveal of Raccoon City getting hit by the zombie apocalypse and the casting of Oded Fehr as Carlos Oliviera (another RE3 character) interested me. In September 2004, I saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse on opening day in the local cinema and I was entertained for the most part. The Milla Jovovich-led film was indeed flawed, but it was an enjoyable improvement over its 2002 predecessor. How Resident Evil: Apocalypse fares with the YouTubers is something you must see.

#3 Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire Game Revisited – Back in the mid-1990s, George Lucas’ entertainment group launched the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire multi-media project which told what happened between the movies The Empire Strike Back and Return of the Jedi. The said project was huge even though there was no live action Star Wars movie involved. A Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire novel was released which became the foundation of a comic book adaptation (read my retro reviews here and here), a video game, toys, action figures and merchandise. The video game of Shadows of the Empire was a joint project between LucasArts and Nintendo and its release on Nintendo 64 drew a lot of attention back then. The game itself made gamers – both Star Wars fans and casual gamers – want to get an N64 to play the game. I recently found two in-depth retrospective videos about Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on N64 and I encourage you all to watch them.

Trump Tells Islamic Terrorist State Iran To Take Deal Or Face Destruction

A lot happened between the United States and the Islamic terrorist regime of Iran lately. Previously there was progress reported in the latest talks between them and the result was the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. A short time later, Iran closed the strait and blamed America with a bunch of allegations. Iran even fired at ships in the strait as if they don’t really care about the ceasefire. In his latest move over the situation, US President Donald Trump told Islamic regime of Iran to take the deal or else they would face destruction, according to a report by Newsmax.

President Donald Trump on Sunday morning threatened to “knock out every single power plant and every single bridge” in Iran unless the country’s leaders accept a “very reasonable deal” offered by the United States.

Trump accused Iran of blatantly violating a ceasefire agreement by firing on ships in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, including vessels tied to key U.S. allies France and the United Kingdom.

“Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, criticizing Tehran’s actions as reckless and provocative.

“We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.“

Trump made clear that patience with the Iranian regime is running out, declaring “NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!” and vowing decisive action if diplomacy fails.

He framed the moment as long overdue, arguing past administrations failed to confront what he called Iran’s “killing machine” over decades.

The president also underscored what he described as a strategic advantage for the United States, noting Iran’s threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit chokepoint, are backfiring.

Trump said a U.S.-led blockade has already effectively shut down the passage, costing Iran an estimated $500 million per day while redirecting energy demand toward American producers in states like Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska.

Meanwhile, the administration is continuing diplomatic efforts.

Trump said U.S. representatives are heading to Islamabad, Pakistan, for negotiations, signaling that talks remain active despite rising tensions.

A White House official confirmed to Newsmax’s Mike Carter on Sunday that Vice President JD Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner will be leading the negotiations.

According to Axios on Saturday, Trump convened a high-level Situation Room meeting with top officials, including Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, to address the escalating crisis.

The current ceasefire is set to expire within days, and officials warn that without a breakthrough, hostilities could quickly resume.

Iran has acknowledged receiving new U.S. proposals and says it is reviewing them, but has not yet committed to a deal.

The renewed tensions come after signs of progress in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, particularly limits on uranium enrichment.

However, Iran’s latest military actions in the Strait appear to have complicated those discussions.

Speaking Saturday, Trump dismissed Tehran’s tactics as ineffective brinkmanship.

“They got a little cute … they wanted to close up the Strait again,” he said, adding that Iran “can’t blackmail us.”

Israel-Lebanon Talks Mediated By America Off To A Good Start

Remember a short time ago when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for  direct talks with the Lebanese government for peace? In Washington, the envoys of Israel and Lebanon met in a historic summit mediated by the United States and things are off to a good start as both nations are looking forward to more talks in the near future, according to a news report by CBN News. Israel and Lebanon clearly want to work together to not only disarm the Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah (long supported by the Islamic terrorist regime of Iran) but also end its decades-long influence and harm of civilians.

A historic Washington summit between Israel and Lebanon ended with a look toward more talks in the future and a sense that the two countries want to work together to disarm Hezbollah and make peace. Meanwhile, President Trump indicated that there may soon be a new round of talks with Iran.

The Washington talks were mediated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The first round was held between Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter and Lebanon’s Washington Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Moawad.

Rubio suggested that the talks involve more than a ceasefire.

“This is about bringing a permanent end to twenty or thirty years of Hezbollah’s influence in this part of the world. And, not just damage inflicted on Israel, (but) the damage that is inflicted on Lebanon,” Rubio remarked. “We have to remember that the Lebanese people are victims of Hezbollah. The Lebanese people are victims of Iranian aggression. And this needs to stop.”

Ambassador Leiter contends that Israel and the Lebanese government are on the same side of the equation.

“We are both united in liberating Lebanon from an occupation power dominated by Iran called Hezbollah,” he said. “Lebanon is under their occupation, and we are suffering from their constant barrages of missiles and terror attacks trying to cross our border.”

Leiter told reporters that the most important issue they discussed was the vision for the future.

“The long-term vision, where there will be a clearly delineated border between our countries, and where the only reason we will need to cross each other’s territory will be in business suits to conduct business, or in bathing suits to go on vacation,” he noted.

Israel made it clear that the security of Israelis is not up for negotiation, and Leiter believes the Lebanese government understands that.

“This was a victory for sanity, for responsibility, and for peace, because the head of Hezbollah warned the government of Lebanon yesterday not to participate in these talks. And the government of Joseph Aoun bravely said no to Hezbollah,” Leiter observed. “And this is the beginning of a very strong and fortified, consistent battle against Hezbollah.”

Hezbollah made its own statement by opening a round of rocket fire on Israel as the talks began. In a rare move, three Hezbollah terrorists laid down their weapons and surrendered to Israeli troops.

In a joint statement issued by the State Department after the talks, the U.S. expressed support for “the government of Lebanon’s plans to restore the monopoly of force and to end Iran’s overbearing influence.”:

For its part, Beirut “underscores the principles of territorial integrity and full state sovereignty, while calling for a ceasefire and concrete measures to address and alleviate the severe humanitarian crisis that the country continues to endure as a result of the ongoing conflict.”

The two countries have been at war since 1948. Lebanon was once the only Christian-majority country in the Middle East, yet it was overrun, first by Palestinian terrorists in 1970-71, and then a decade later by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

Before the talks, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said there are no major disputes between Lebanon and Israel.

He explained, “The problem for Israel’s security is the problem for Lebanon’s sovereignty: it’s Hezbollah. It’s the same problem. And this problem needs to be addressed in order to move to a different phase (that) we want to reach, of peace and normalization with the state of Lebanon.”

$10 Billion Financial Aid For Asian Nations Confirmed by Japanese Prime Minister

With many nations in Asia already struggling with the very expensive prices of fuel related to the conflicts in the Middle East, their respective economic struggles are only getting worse. That said, they are very fortunate to have Japan on their side as Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae officially announced that her government will provide them financial support worth $10 billion, according to a Kyodo News report.

The Japanese government said Wednesday it will provide a total of $10 billion in financial support to other Asian nations to help them secure crude oil supplies as prices soar amid the Middle East conflict, aiming to ensure that petroleum-derived products made in those countries keep flowing into Japan.

The aid, announced by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi following an online meeting with her counterparts mainly from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, is aimed at beefing up energy supply chains across the region such as through loans for procuring crude oil and petroleum products as well as expansion of stockpiles.

“Japan is closely interconnected with each Asian country through supply chains and mutually dependent with them,” Takaichi told reporters, adding that oil shortages or supply disruptions in Asia could have a “significant negative impact” on her nation’s economy and society.

The planned financial aid is equivalent to up to 1.2 billion barrels — about one year of crude oil imports by ASEAN countries, she said.

Japan imports petroleum-derived products from Southeast Asia, including items used at medical facilities. Many countries in the region maintain limited oil reserves, so there have been concerns that supply shortages could eventually affect shipments to Japan.

The surge in oil prices on the back of the war that led to a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for global energy transportation, has raised concerns in some Southeast Asian countries over their ability to pay for imports.

Tokyo aims to address the risks through financial support, including loans via the government-backed Japan Bank for International Cooperation, according to government sources.

The Japanese prime minister emphasized that the latest supportive scheme does not include direct crude oil provisions from Japan’s reserves and therefore will not negatively affect domestic supplies.

Given its high dependence on the Middle East for crude oil imports, Japan keeps abundant oil stockpiles in the country.

The other nations that joined the Japan-led, leaders-level virtual gathering were Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

With Blockade On Iranian Ports Established, Trump Says Islamic Terrorist Regime Wants To Make A Deal “Very Badly”

Now that the blockade on Iranian ports has been done by the United States, President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that the Islamic terrorist regime reached out to them wanting to make a deal “very badly”, according to a news report by The Jerusalem Post. This happened not so long after the initial US-Iran negotiations failed and the Islamic regime has a history of lying and pretending when negotiating with America.

Iran called the United States, wanting “very badly” to make a deal, US President Donald Trump claimed to reporters at the White House on Monday.

Trump said he didn’t want to comment on what would happen if a deal wasn’t reached by the end of the ongoing ceasefire, but that “it won’t be pleasant for them, let me put it that way.“

Trump also said that Iran had refused to agree to having a nuclear weapon and that the US would get the nuclear material back.

IDF Says There Won’t Be Major Fights Left In Lebanon Within A Few Days

Following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration of direct talks with the Lebanese government for potential peace, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that within a few days, there won’t be major fights remaining in Lebanon although it might have to engage in limited fighting with the leftover Hezbollah terrorists in specific parts of the country, according to a news report by The Jerusalem Post.

The IDF on Monday said that once it completes its operation against Hezbollah in Bint Jbil in southern Lebanon in the coming days, there will not be any remaining major fights for it to undertake in the area.

In addition, the IDF added that there were still several areas where it would continue to clear Hezbollah weapons that it had found during its invasion of southern Lebanon. Such clearing operations could continue for a longer, somewhat indefinite period.

Further, the IDF might still engage in limited fighting with leftover Hezbollah forces in parts of southern Lebanon who have not withdrawn north of the Litani River with most of Hezbollah’s other forces.

IDF will have no remaining strategic targets in southern Lebanon – However, broadly speaking, the IDF will have no remaining strategic targets in southern Lebanon, and for several days since the Iran ceasefire on Tuesday-Wednesday of last week, the military has refrained from attacks in Beirut and other more strategic areas for Hezbollah.

Even ongoing air force attacks are more focused now on preventing real-time rocket crew threats to Israel’s home front than they are on eliminating Hezbollah’s deeper capabilities, which had been a goal of the IDF when the Israel-Hezbollah conflict was still at its height.

Regarding the Bint Jbil battle, which has already lasted several days, the IDF has already broken into the heart of the village.

Division 98 caught Hezbollah’s dozens or more fighters there by surprise, surrounding them from all sides before they could find a way to retreat and escape.

The Givati Brigade, the Paratroopers Brigade, and multiple commando units, including Maglan, have been involved in the battles in and around Bint Jbil.

Since Division 98 entered the Bint Jbil area, the IDF said that it has successfully eliminated rocket fire on Israel from the area.

Given that some of the heaviest fire from Lebanon had been from Bint Jbil, this has also reduced Hezbollah’s ability to fire on northern Israel in broader strategic terms.

That said, Hezbollah still has significant volumes of rockets that can strike northern Israel from deeper parts of Lebanon beyond the Litani River.

The IDF admitted that despite a huge invasion of southern Lebanon for three months in the fall of 2024, it had failed to fully clear Bint Jbil of weapons at the time.

This current invasion of Bint Jbil is, in part, a corrective measure for that oversight. In addition to Division 98, Divisions 162, 146, 91, and 36 are operating in southern Lebanon.

Collectively, the IDF has killed around 1,400 Hezbollah fighters, around 100 in the Bint Jbil area.

A State Department statement on the matter did not accuse the three arrested of any specific unlawful or harmful acts but stated that the #Trump administration “will never allow America to become a home for foreign nationals tied to anti-American terrorist regimes.”

Mr. Hashemi is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, who served as the English-language spokeswoman for the #Islamist embassy captors during the 444-day hostage crisis. Mr. Hashemi had been the subject of recent reports in conservative media outlets that portrayed him as living comfortably in Los Angeles while working as a psychology professor.

L'Unità: Arresto di Mohammed Hannoun, per la Cassazione le soffiate degli 007 israeliani non si possono usare

La Cassazione conferma che non si possono usare nelle inchieste giudiziarie in Italia atti trasmessi dai servizi segreti israeliani e ordina al Tribunale del Riesame di Genova di rivalutare la posizione di quattro indagati tra i quali l’architetto Mohammed Hannoun arrestati con l’accusa di aver finanziato Hamas e tuttora in carcere in attesa della prossima udienza tra una decina di giorni.
La Cassazione ha inoltre dichiarato inammissibile il ricorso della procura di Genova tendente a far ritornare in carcere gli indagati che il Riesame aveva liberato. Almeno per adesso è una vittoria importante su tutta la linea per gli avvocati della difesa. I legali Nicola Canestrini, Sandro Clementi, Fausto Gianelli, Elisa Marino, Gilberto Pagani , Pierfrancesco Poli, Marina Prosperi, Nabil Ryah, Federico Riboldi, Dario Rossi, Flavio Rossi Albertini Giuseppe Sambataro, Fabio Sommovigo, Emanuele Tambuscio, Gianluca Vitale e Samuele Zucchi sottolineano che in attesa delle motivazioni della Suprema Corte “pare evidente che il Tribunale dovrà riconsiderare le posizioni degli indagati per i quali era stato provato solo l’invio a Gaza di aiuti alimentari e di denaro destinato ad attività umanitarie e di sostegno alla popolazione civile”. Per gli avvocati difensori “è importante anche che la Cassazione  abbia dichiarato inammissibile il ricorso della procura tendente a far rientrare nel processo le carte dei servizi segreti di Israele”.
Gli atti israeliani sono stati ritenuti “anonimi e carenti delle garanzie processuali richieste dal nostro ordinamento”. Si tratta per i legali di “un passaggio necessario nell’inchiesta ‘Domino’ che aveva portato all’arresto di nove persone in diverse regioni italiane”. E ovviamente dipinte come “terroristi” dai mezzi di informazione. Sugli esiti della vicenda resta grande incertezza perché non esiste giurisprudenza su associazione sovversiva finanziatrice di Hamas. Le organizzazioni islamiste infatti sono una questione molto diversa. Bene o male Hamas governa Gaza. Resta il fatto che la Cassazione ha deciso che non c’erano indizi sufficientemente gravi per procedere agli arresti.

The Court of Cassation confirmed that documents transmitted by Israeli intelligence services cannot be used in judicial investigations in Italy and orders the Genoa Court of Appeal to reassess the status of four suspects, including architect Mohammed Hannoun, who are currently in prison awaiting their next hearing in about ten days, accused of financing Hamas.

The Court of Cassation also ruled the Genoa prosecutor’s appeal inadmissible, seeking to reinstate the suspects’ imprisonment after the Court of Appeal had released them. At least for now, it’s an important victory for the defense lawyers. Lawyers Nicola Canestrini, Sandro Clementi, Fausto Gianelli, Elisa Marino, Gilberto Pagani, Pierfrancesco Poli, Marina Prosperi, Nabil Ryah, Federico Riboldi, Dario Rossi, Flavio Rossi Albertini Giuseppe Sambataro, Fabio Sommovigo, Emanuele Tambuscio, Gianluca Vitale and Samuele Zucchi emphasize that “pending the Supreme Court’s motivations, it appears evident that the Court will need to reconsider the positions of the suspects for whom only the delivery to Gaza of food aid and money intended for humanitarian activities and support for the civilian population was proven.” For the defense lawyers, “it is also important that the Court of Cassation has ruled the prosecutor’s appeal inadmissible, seeking to include in the trial the documents from Israeli intelligence services.”

The Israeli documents were deemed “anonymous and lacking the procedural guarantees required by our legal system.” These are “a necessary step in the ‘Domino’ investigation, which led to the arrest of nine people in various regions of Italy.” And, of course, painted as “terrorists” by the media. There remains great uncertainty regarding the outcome of the case because there is no jurisprudence on subversive association financing Hamas. Islamist organizations are a very different matter. Whether good or bad, Hamas governs Gaza. The fact remains that the Court of Cassation has decided that there were not sufficiently serious indications to warrant arrests.
