Warning: !8+ post. Do not read if you offend easily. I love the word sardonic. It's the perfect combination of words and meanings, sarcastic + ironic. My wit is entirely sardonic, and I try to throw that into my novels at least somewhere. Maybe a character doesn't take themselves too seriously; maybe circumstances are beyond a character's control. Better yet, when a reviewer gets my drift. I won't use Kirkus Reviews again, because their reviewers have really gone downhill. The last review I paid for was only semi-literate, regardless of the review's content. But for my erotic fiction, Flicka's LOVERS, they nailed it, and I was somewhat surprised by the candor in their choice of words. My book will be in ongoing steamy reads promotions this summer.
