Ukip's new logo definitely looks nothing like a Nazi symbol. Nope, not at all. Not even close.

Oh good grief! I hadn't seen that.

My guess is that one of the bumbling Rump #UKIP people had the idea that it would associate them with something bad, like knife crime.
Or perhaps someone told them that per #ElectoralCommission guidelines it shouldn't mislead Rump UKIP voters into thinking that the ballot already has a cross next to their party.
The slogan is somewhat older.
Rump #UKIP, drawing the attention of pretty much no-one apart from someone uploading to Wikimedia Commons, re-branded to the part with the slogan a year or so beforehand.

The #IronCross (with sword, spear, and shield) part is the new bit that was spotted in 2025.
Cynically put: Rump UKIP ditching the #pound didn't get them into the headlines, but adding an Iron Cross did. Twice.
M. Cadwalladr is behind the times. This broke in (amongst other places) the London Economic back in October of last year.
Abandoned Nazi military Barracks in Germany. Throwback to my visit, quite a few years ago now.
The Wehrmacht commissioned these military barracks in the 1930s during the rearmament period of Nazi Germany. When Nazi forces left in 1945, it is said that the Soviet Army moved in the following day!
I have blurred out the symbols that appear within the eagle's talons in this mosaic.
