Con questa didascalia l’eurodeputata spagnola, Irene Montero, esponente di Podemos, ha accompagnato il video su Instagram di un suo accorato intervento in Aula contro l’Alta rappresentante dell’Unione per gli affari esteri e la politica di sicurezza, Kaja Kallas.
“Signora Kallas, Israele si trova a dir poco da 24 ore in pieno Mediterraneo, sequestrando barche e cittadini europei. La diverte, vero? A me per nulla”, inizia Montero. “Arriverà il momento in cui muoverà un dito per proteggerli? Sono cittadini europei. Che farebbe lei se fossero l’Iran o la Russia a piazzarsi nel mezzo del Mediterraneo per sequestrare cittadini europei? Ma siccome è Israele lei sorride, e volta la faccia”, continua l’eurodeputata per poi concludere con un caustico “shame on you”. Cioè “vergognati” rivolto a Kallas.

What would you do if it were Iran or Russia that planted themselves in the middle of the Mediterranean to seize European citizens? But because it’s Israel, you smile, and turn away,” continues the MEP, concluding with a scathing “shame on you.” That is, “shame on you” directed at Kallas.
