Paying $6.34/gal #gas to fill up the service center loaner hurts more when you're used to paying barely anything.
My old (now daughter's) #subaru Legacy fell victim to the cam carrier leak flaw, and when i brought it in, i had to get the loaner under my name. Which meant I had to drive the loaner to/from work instead of my #ioniq5. Which, with the price of gas nowadays, SUCKED.
Anyway, nightmare over, I get to drive my #ev again. phew
My daughter's car goes into the shop and somehow i get stuck with the shitty gas-powered loaner and my wife gets to drive my #ioniq5.
Let me tell you what it's like to live both feet planted in the future, then unexpectedly getting yanked back to century-old, rattly, stinky tech. And with these #trumpwar gas prices! IT SUCKS
This first-world problem whining brought to you by a professional whiner who vowed never to go back to ICE cars, yet here I am 😢🤬
The lease on my #Ioniq5 EV is up this summer, and I'm thinking about trading in for the latest model. But the battery and assembly issues that I've seen on the 2025 models assembled in the US have me worried.
I love this car, but the residual on my lease is higher than the going used price (by about 10k) and I would really like actual roof rails, a rear windshield wiper, and some updated features like integrated wireless android auto.
Has anyone heard of issues on the 2026 models?
