"Interstellar Mission to a Black Hole"

No word of a lie, one of the appeals of vampirism is living long enough to see shit like this happen.

Cuz.lets be honest, I'd expect our species to be as irresponsible as the Seritans and thus look at us like the Tollans, enacting a "Prime Directive" until #Humanity gets their shit together

  • Cuz lets face it: Any #interstellarTravel-capable, spacefaring lifeform will be able to give humanity a real "Seven Hour War" without even trying to flex, but just redirecting any ordinance we'd try to use against them have back at us.

At most we're seen like the Seninelese minus being contacted

OK, there's one thing bothering me regarding “Alien: Earth”: If you're on a decades-long deep space mission that requires cryo pods, how do you have cats on board the spaceship? Do they have their own little cryo pods? Or are they just semi-feral and evolve into a new species over time, like in “Red Dwarf”?

There is a red cat briefly seen on the Maginot. If I recall correctly, there is also a cat on the Nostromo. How?

I mean, sure, cats have historically been part of ship crews, but in space?

How to use fusion to get to Proxima Centauri's potentially habitable exoplanet

Proxima Centauri b is the closest known exoplanet that could be in the habitable zone of its star. Therefore, it has garnered a lot of attention, including several missions designed to visit it and send back information. Unfortunately, due to technological constraints and the gigantic distances involved, most of those missions only weigh a few grams and require massive solar scales or pushing lasers to get anywhere near their target.

Pushing A Probe To Alpha Centauri Using A Relativistic Electron Beam

Getting a spacecraft to another star is a monumental challenge. However, that doesn’t stop people from working on it. The most visible groups currently doing so are Breakthrough Starshot and the Tau Zero Foundation, both of whom focus on a very particular type of propulsion-beamed power. A paper from the Chairman of Tau Zero’s board, … Continue reading "Pushing A Probe To Alpha Centauri Using A Relativistic Electron Beam"

1965 Intergalactic Journey

The image features a cartoon character, which appears to be from the 1965 film "Journey to the Center of the Earth." This character is depicted inside an interstellar vehicle that looks like a submarine with a large dome at the front.
The vehicle is flying through space, surrounded by swirling clouds of red and pink hues, suggesting a scene of intense action or turbulence.
A large explosion can be seen nearby, indicating some sort of conflict or danger in this imaginative depiction of intergalactic travel.
