What does American healthcare look like when you have a debilitating illness?

- $275 specialist visit
- $200 in medication every month
- $150 in pain management therapies
- wear and tear on your mental health

And yes, this is WITH INSURANCE. So, don't talk to me about how healthcare is so affordable in the U.S. If you're healthy, you know nothing.

Workers Comp really said “we got you… PSYCH”

The sad reality when getting injured on the job

#ClaimDenied #InsuranceSucks #RelatableAF

My son got a bill for a medical procedure 18 months ago that was a follow up on a workers comp claim from 22 months ago.
We called the billing office and you could hear the exasperation in the agents voice when she saw in their system it was a Workers Comp situation…

“Just a moment, there are a LOT of notes, I don’t think you want me to read them ALL to you…”

“They (comp insurer) denied payment 18 months ago and then delayed and denied and delayed some more… we finally got a ‘no reserve left on this claim’ *2* months ago and billed your regular insurance…”

So basically the Workers Comp insurance ran out the clock until they could say “Not our problem” and walk away, sticking us with the bill.

Our insurance just this month agreed to discount but not pay…”that applies to your deductible”

FINALLY found my kid's #ADHD meds only to have insurance step in an question whether or not he "needs" it. FML. #insurancesucks #neurodivergent
I'm filling out another #ADHD evaluation because #InsuranceSucks, and here's great proof I have it. I started putting on my compression sleeve for #Lymphedema but got distracted by the eval packet halfway through. So I've been sitting here filling it out with my sleeve on only up to the elbow...
