I like #RankedVoting, #InstantRunOff & #RankedChoice, introduced first at the local level, to improve our political system. I encourage people to get involved in their local Democratic party, even the littlest bit. In my experience it is largely run by pretty ordinary people, in very boring ways.

@wslack Exactly. The unfortunate way that #RCV is often described, as if there were actual rounds, makes some vote counters decide they need to report only the top choices at first. But #FairVote knows that the right way would be to report the tally for each permutation when it is known. It is, after all, an #INSTANTrunoff. #RankedChoiceVoting

Das ganze ist keine Raketenwissenschaft, mit #InstantRunoff gibt es etabliertes und einfaches Verfahren, welches für genau dieses Setting existiert. Die #WienerGrünen haben es unter anderem bei ihrer Vorsitzwahl vor ein paar Jahren (bei der Birgit #Hebein) gewann erfolgreich eingesetzt.

Tired of being forced into voting for the "lesser of two evils"? Don't fret, we have the solution: Ranked Choice Voting! RCV is a voting method in which voters can rank candidates instead of picking just one, resulting in elections that avoid "lesser of two evils voting," reducing vote-splitting, and encouraging a pool of more diverse candidates. Other benefits of RCV include reducing the two-party stronghold, decreasing toxic campaigning, increasing representation of women, and increasing representation of people of color. RCV is used around the world and is gaining momentum across the United States as a common sense, more representative, and more democratic voting system.
