In the greatest of ironies I was talking about backing away from #Meta and in particular #Instagram
This morning I went to check my alternative account (more latex and leather content, still safe for work - I'm not like that!) and I'd been logged out.
I logged in with my 2FA and I got the dreaded popup - my account had been flagged for adult content and I needed to do the training course.
Bearing in mind none of my content is adult, but apparently now latex is?! So I did the course. Unlocked my account. Removed 5 photos which were marked as hidden for "adult content" including the one I've attached to this post - seriously - and then I deleted the rest, cleared the account, and put up a couple of parking posts saying to people "follow me here, or don't".
The account is still there - I can't post stories, can't hashtag, can't mention people, can't comment. For 7 days.
I hate Meta. I hate Facebook with it's toxic racist and homophobic boomers. I hate the double standards where a "small boats" post draws out the hard of thinking with their racist hate spew and yet a glimpse of latex fashion and it's "get it off here!!!"
I just wish I could persuade my friends to join the #fediverse and stop feeding billionaires AI bots.
So the photo? Yep... I'm in latex... This is "offensive" according to Instagram!
