I found a new in box ProtoArc EM01 NL for $20. I am going to try using a trackball.
Send help. Or a wrist brace.
Probably both...

If you grew up before the digital age, a temperature check usually meant sitting still with a cold glass rod tucked under your armpit for three long minutes. Today, we use guns that do the job in a second. Here is the science, safety, and why this shift happened.
I want this on the #OS level for all #InputDevices - on all OSs: #macOS, #Linux, #Windows, #iOs, #iPadOS, #Android, …
And I want it native and not as a 3rd-party hack!

I found a new science-based open source VR haptics device! This one stretches your arm skin instead of some mechanism on the hand. This has two advantages: It feels more natural for big movements, and it's probably easier to wear since it doesn't interfere with the controller. Promising, will try to build one!

Ploopy TrackPad review: USB touchpad with open source firmware and multitouch support
Most desktop computers are designed for keyboard and mouse input. Most laptops have a built-in touchpad. But it’s surprisingly difficult to find a good touchpad that’s designed for use in a desktop setup.
Mac users have Apple’s Magic Trackpad. But if you’re using Windows or Linux you’ll either need to fight with unofficial drivers to get the Magic TrackPad working or try your luck with a […]

How to use laptop or tablet as a touchpad (and keyboard) for a Windows PC
After decades of working with computers, I started to develop some wrist and arm pain a few year ago. So I switched from using whatever random mouse I could find for under $20 to using input devices meant to alleviate wrist pain. And for the past few years I’ve been happily switching back and forth between a Logitech MX Vertical mouse and a Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball.
And […]

Bought a used #Kensington #Orbit #Trackball with Scroll Ring a couple of years ago for testing instead of using a classic computer #mouse because the surface of my Microsoft #Intellimouse Optical from ~2000(!) finally went goo: https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/comments/jpiv8p/microsoft_intellimouse_optical/
#OrbitTrackball: Love at first use. And it's #ergonomic and not wireless. 👍
Unfortunately, this week one of its buttons started to act weird so I just bought a new one as a replacement.

I can totally recommend that thing.

I just read this article. It describes GenieTalk (Generating Expression through Narrative in Everyday Talk), an input device for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
It sounds interesting, even for user who wouldn't need special assistance!
