Dette er sjølvsagt ei alvorleg sak for heile landet. Det merkelege er at eg *aldri* ser nokon diskusjon kring kva rolle innvandring kan spela for folketalsutviklinga og arbeidsstokken. Det er ei stor blindsone. Me treng folk, og kvar skal dei koma frå? Like many European countries Norway lacks people. There are villages all over Norway, all of them shouting for more people. Like, yesterday I read about Bremanger on the western coast, paying people to move there, giving people free childcare, added salary. But Bremanger is just one of many small places begging people to come and live and work.

A couple of years ago I met a Dutch couple on a hike, and they were very interested in discussing the possibility for work in Norway, and besides Swedes and Danes, many Dutch people arrives and find a place here in Norway. Many leave again, because we Norwegians are not an easy group to live with. We are extremely (!) introverts, and to find a place in a community is not easy at all. A young colleague told me that she had lived three years in Tromsø and had received one - 1 - invitation to a social happening in that periode.

All this just to say, Norway needs people, please come and work here, but be prepared for a lonely time.
