I made this early 2000s style vector graphic for the Inkscape March challenge "Spring". It's still open if you'd like to contribute!

The March #Inkscape challenge is to

DRAW SPRING 🌱

Express what Springtime means to you and what signs you see that tell you it's at your doorstep. Is it the first butterfly? Snow melting? Plants sprouting? Insects creeping around?

I made a pixel art lucky cat and a high-resolution vector version for the Inkscape February Challenge: Make a Retro Gaming Asset. Blog post in the comments.

There's time left if you want to try it!

The February #Inkscape challenge is to

Draw a Retro Gaming Asset

Create a retro gaming asset (a character, a weapon, treasure, etc.) by limiting yourself to a 32x32 grid and a palette of only 16 colors.

Create a 512x512 version with an unlimited color palette as a reference. Then create a 32x32 version with only 16 colors.

If you want to learn Inkscape techniques, one very good way is to participate in the month-long design challenges.

I made an abstract artwork inspired by the style of Marina Vandra for the January Inkscape Challenge. It represents ocean creatures and primitive lifeforms.

Hope you all like it! I'm trying to explore other art styles.

Expanding design options!

The January #Inkscape challenge is to

Interpolate!

Create a composition by exploring the Interpolate Between Paths extension and push this extension and your imagination to their limits.

Combining two #InkscapeChallenge ideas: a mostly spiral mandala.

This month's #inkscapeChallenge involves spirals.

It turns out that some tricky interference patterns appear when two slightly different spirals are overlaid.

Our challenge leader shows us how.
