Tax lien investing? It may be that I don't understand it, but it sounds predatory.
You invest, the county gets the money they're due, and supposedly, the home owner gets more time to get the money to pay their tax bill. (It's magically falls out of the sky for them? I mean, they fell behind for reasons - bad health, bad job market)
Over 10% return. So... who is paying that return?
Personally, I would feel horrible making money off other people's hardships.
Does anyone know if this actually helps the homeowner?
