Now I'm thinking of the abdication of infection control around covid, currently being perpetrated by the NHS and most dentists.

I thought, are we being actively _punished_ rather than abandoned though? And then I thought of things I've heard (heard firsthand but not experienced firsthand) about how wearing a fitted respi mask in hospital marks you as a troublemaker, whereas using a non-fitted baggy blue signals compliance and leads to kinder treatment.

- Hospital‑acquired infections remain a major global threat: in many places 7–15 in every 100 patients get a healthcare‑associated infection during a hospital stay.
- Proper infection prevention can prevent around 70% of infections through simple, cost‑effective practices.
- Preventing infections protects vulnerable people (children, elderly, immunocompromised) and helps healthcare systems work better.

As if the war wasn’t enough, to then be running out of treatment options for wounded soldiers… the situation seems hopeless… but every analysis identifies one or more solutions & this is a textbook write-up of how to find hope & better responses. 🙂
So glad I read it; only concern is what is the situation in Ruzzia (have read elsewhere about rises in all sorts of infectious diseases like HIV etc in Ruzzia & in a world so interconnected can we afford a rogue country so close to many others? Rhetorical question - but facts could be helpful - before they start distributing the measles-infected blankets).
