MALDIVES : ‘INDIA OUT’ TURN AROUND
PM Modi is to visit #Maldives on 25-26 Jul and participate in their 60 Independence Day celebrations. This is a huge turnaround from the days of #indiaout. At a time when India faces severe headwinds in its neighborhood and internationally the fact that our seas are more secure from predators around us gives some comfort.

এই সেই ৭ দফা চুক্তি, যার মাধ্যমে সদ্য স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশকে গোলাম বানানো হয়েছিলো।
তাজ উদ্দিন-সৈয়দ নজরুলরা যুদ্ধকালেই দেশ লিখে দিয়েছিলো ভারতকে। নুরুল কাদিরের লেখা 'দুশো ছেষট্টি দিনে স্বাধীনতা' বইয়ের ৩২৫ পাতায় সে দাসত্বের কথা লেখা আছে। যার সামারি-টা সংক্ষেপে দেওয়া হলো-
১৯৭১ সালের অক্টোবর ভারতের একজন কর্মকর্তা ও বাংলাদেশের পক্ষে অস্থায়ী প্রধানমন্ত্রী সৈয়দ নজরুল ইসলাম ৭ দফা চুক্তি সই করেন।
চুক্তির ভয়াবহতা ভেবে এ অনুষ্ঠানে সৈয়দ নজরুল ইসলাম জ্ঞান হারিয়ে ফেলেন। জনসমক্ষে প্রকাশ করা হয়নি এ চুক্তি।
মুজিবনগর সরকারের অনেকেই জানতেন না এ চুক্তির বিষয়। মুখ্য ভূমিকায় ছিলেন মরহুম তাজউদ্দিন।গোপন চুক্তির ৭ দফা হলো:
১. মুক্তিযুদ্ধ করেনি এমন কর্মকর্তাদেরকে চাকুরী থেকে অবসর দেয়া হবে। অভিজ্ঞ কর্মচারীর শূন্যতা পূরণ করবে ভারতীয় প্রশাসনিক কর্মকর্তারা। লক্ষ করে দেখবেন, স্বাধীনতার পর বেশ কিছু ইন্ডিয়ান সিভিল সার্ভিস অফিসার ঢাকায় ও বিভিন্ন জেলায় ডিসি হিসাবে কাজ শুরু করেছিলেন।
২. বাংলাদেশের নিজস্ব কোন সেনাবাহিনী থাকবে না।
৩. অভ্যন্তরীণ আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষার জন্য একটি প্যারা মিলিশিয়া বাহিনী থাকবে, যা পরে রক্ষী বাহিনী হিসেবে গঠিত হয়েছিল। প্রশিক্ষণে ছিলেন ভারতীয় সেনা কর্মকর্তাগণ।
৪. ভারতের সেনাবাহিনী থাকবে বাংলাদেশে। প্রতিবছর নভেম্বর মাসে পরিস্থিতি পর্যবেক্ষণ করা হবে। ৭২ সালের নভেম্বর থেকে এর কাজ শুরু হবে।
৫. বাণিজ্যিক সমঝোতা ছিল খোলা বাজার প্রতিষ্ঠা করা। সীমান্তের তিন মাইল জুড়ে চালু হবে খোলা বাজার। কোন নিয়ন্ত্রণ থাকবে না। শুধু বছর শেষে হিসাব নিকাশ হবে। প্রাপ্য মেটানো হবে পাউন্ড, ষ্টার্লিং এর মাধ্যমে।
৬. বিদেশ বিষয়ে ভারত যা বলবে, তাই মেনে চলতে হবে। অর্থাৎ, সাউথ ব্লকের এনেক্স হবে সেগুন বাগিচা। এক কথায় বলা চলে উল্লেখিত চুক্তির ফলে ভারত বাংলাদেশের সামরিক ও পররাষ্ট্র বিষয়ের কর্তৃত্ব পেয়ে যায়।
৭. পাকিস্তানের সাথে চুড়ান্ত লড়াইয়ে নেতৃত্ব দিবেন ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনী প্রধান। মুক্তিবাহিনীর সর্বাধিনায়ক সহপ্রধান হিসেবেও দায়িত্ব পাবেন না।
এই ৭ দফা চুক্তির পরেই ভারত পাকিস্তানের বিরুদ্ধে সর্বাত্মক যুদ্ধের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। আর এখনও ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনী ১৬ই ডিসেম্বরকে ইষ্টার্ন কমান্ড দিবস হিসেবে পালন করে!
অথচ পঞ্চাশ বছর ধরে আমাদেরকে শেখানো হচ্ছে- আওয়ামীলীগের নেতৃত্বে দেশের স্বাধীনতা এসেছে! ভারত আমাদেরকে স্বাধীন করে দিয়েছে!

Google Search prioritises ultranationalist outlets more prominently, thereby fueling a global disinformation campaign amid heightened diplomatic tensions.
According to a report published by Techglobal Institute, for instance the search engine giant populates its search with content from Indian media over Bangladeshi media – even when the actual issue in question has taken place in Bangladesh.
In doing so, it casts aside local, original journalism on a story rooted in Bangladesh in favour of an avalanche of divisive coverage from neighbouring India, according to a report published by Techglobal Institute.

The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearance has found prima facie evidence of the involvement of Indian authorities in the system of enforced disappearance in Bangladesh.

Indian propaganda has reached a new level with this incident!
India claimed that a Shamoly Paribahan bus, carrying Indian citizens, was intentionally attacked by a truck in Bangladesh. Some even alleged that later, locals threatened to kill the passengers after stopping the bus. This narrative is entirely false.
Here is the real story: The bus was traveling when a truck overtook it at high speed. The bus driver had to apply the emergency brakes suddenly, causing a three-wheeled small easy bike coming from behind to collide with the bus. Due to the abrupt stop, the easy bike was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the back of the bus.
It is important to note that there was no collision between the truck and the bus. The truck simply overtook the bus and continued on its way. The bus’s sudden braking led to the easy bike’s accident. The easy bike driver sustained minor injuries, and locals sent him to the hospital. Since the crash occurred due to the bus’s sudden braking, the locals stopped the bus and argued with the driver (a typical practice, where the allegedly responsible vehicle is stopped and questioned). Later, highway police arrived and mediated between the bus authorities and the locals.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the bus is Bangladeshi-owned, the driver is Muslim, and the bus authorities are also based in Bangladesh. And the truck did not hit the bus. The bus and all the passengers were fine and safe.
Despite these facts, India spread false propaganda about the incident.
Bus driver Md. Asadul Haque said, “While a truck overtaking us, I had to apply the emergency brakes and stop. At that moment, a three-wheeled covered van behind us collided with the bus and got stuck at the back. The matter was reported to the highway police, who arrived and removed the van using a wrecker. There was no damage to the bus, nor were any passengers injured in the accident.”
He further added, “There was no argument or any kind of trouble between the local people and the Indian passengers on the bus. I was surprised myself to see reports in the Indian media about an attack on the bus.”
