Cordially invitation! The VIO creates music radically ad hoc, by the ensemble and by the conductor. As is the case with almost every VIO concert, this one will also feature musicians performing with us for the first time.
The concert will take place in the 8-meter-high hall of the former laundry room at the center for arts and culture Semmelweisklinik.

With its praxis of Instant Composition Conducting, the VIENNA IMPROVISERS ORCHESTRA since 2004, engages in a special discourse of unwritten experimental composition and complex improvised music for large ensembles.
Instant Composition Conducting, which is based on Butch Morris' method of hand-sign-conducting Conduction, was developed by art.dir. and ad hoc conductor Michael Fischer into a comprehensive praxis.

The VIO has been a guest at the Moers Festival, Wien Modern, the Artacts festival f jazz & improvised music, at numerous spaces in the context of the fine arts, at the Porgy&Bess, Brut Wien a.m.m.
Founded by Michael Fischer in 2004, the VIO is one of the earliest, continuously working improvisation orchestras worldwide.
