How do you "tune" a Paracord flogger?
Well, there are too many parameters. The overall length plays its part, but the most important aspect is the handle to total length ratio. If the falls are more than double the length of the flogger, they don't carry enough speed to transfer enough energy. Double the handle size, or slightly less than that, is the sweet spot, regardless of overall size and number of falls
Most of my floggers are around 50cm (20")long, with 28-50 falls (usually 36-42), then the longer ones at 65-70cm (26"-28") with 10-40 falls (but usually up to 24) and the most recent addition, the only version that can be considered thuddy, standing proud at 70-75cm (28"-30")long with 80-86 falls.
