I've tried to turn this iMac into a monitor, but it is not displaying anything :(

After making sure it's getting the (unusual) resolution it wants, and putting the old logic board in to confirm that the screen does still work, it looks like I may need to collect my own initialization data to send to the display. I've wanted to finally get familiar with I2C so maybe today is the day.

Na terenie Apple Park otwarto właśnie ekskluzywną, rocznicową wystawę, która jest prawdziwym wehikułem czasu dla każdego fana technologii.

Zlokalizowana w głównej siedzibie firmy wystawa prezentuje fizyczne kamienie milowe, które ukształtowały dzisiejszy krajobraz rynku elektroniki. Dzięki zdjęciom udostępnionym w sieci przez odwiedzających (w tym Meriam Al Sultan, której post na X zamieszczamy poniżej), możemy zajrzeć do środka tego niedostępnego dla szerokiej publiczności sanktuarium designu.

Apple świętuje 50 lat nieszablonowego myślenia

Na specjalnie przygotowanych ekspozytorach znalazły się absolutne klasyki: kolorowy iMac G3, legendarny 128k Macintosh, a także ewolucyjna linia kultowych odtwarzaczy. Gablota poświęcona iPodom dumnie prezentuje obok siebie pierwszego iPoda, wersję mini, nano, shuffle oraz touch – urządzenia, które zdefiniowały sposób, w jaki słuchamy muzyki. Nie zabrakło też przekroju przez historię iPhone’ów, ukazującego, jak znacznie urosły ekrany naszych telefonów na przestrzeni lat.

Największe wrażenie robią jednak historyczne detale zawieszone na ścianach: słynna „piracka flaga” zespołu tworzącego oryginalnego Macintosha, zdjęcia z ikonicznej reklamy „1984” czy slajd Steve’a Jobsa opowiadający o skrzyżowaniu technologii ze sztukami wyzwolonymi. Wystawa jest póki co dostępna wyłącznie dla pracowników i ich gości, ale z pewnością stanowi piękny hołd dla pięciu dekad innowacji z Cupertino.

Almost 22 years have passed since this photo was taken, in my university-era bedroom.
I had already graduated and I was doing things I truly enjoyed.
I was about to move out, even though nobody knew it (I was taking notes on my Palm about what to pack, but messiness was the norm, so no one got suspicious). I also had a slightly swollen gum, so I was smiling without showing my teeth, and I had mouthwash on the desk.
And that smile was one of mysterious satisfaction, anticipating what was about to happen soon.

Perhaps the most enigmatic Italian smile since the Mona Lisa.
