One of my favorite discoveries of late at the library is these "Binge Boxes" of DVDs. They collect up 4 or 5 movies based on some common theme - sometimes it's an actor, sometimes it's a genre - and you can take them all out at once. So for example, I just borrowed "Didn't See That Coming" which has The Usual Suspects, Donnie Darko, The Mist, Clue, and Atomic Blonde. Also "Awards Season 2023" which has Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere, The Fabelmans, and Tar. It's just kind of fun to get a batch of related films all at once.

Reading Kaksi oikein yhteen by Kaisa Ikola was like a de-stress treatment for my brain. My poor brain is barely hanging in there with work at the moment and this felt so good. 🥰

This is a sequel to Oikein nurin which I read a couple of months ago. It's fifteen years later. The main character Anni is doing a different job. Her life is ok but nothing spectacular. A friend of hers is having problems with her teenage daughter and Anni agrees to take the daughter for a few weeks.

I guess the story has lots of stereotypes and the plot is pretty easy to guess but I loved reading it.
