@beka_valentine it is a problem for folks that get retroactively forcibly detransitioned by law and those facing said mismatch between ID and actual gender [identity], facing complications ranging from #NakedScanner to false suspicion for "#IdentityFraud"...

Like ideally #ICAO would not just abolish the Gender field in #Passports but ban it outright, but that won't happen!

I'm now in the final phase of lining up my chosen vendor to go to dad's place next week & insert the extra RAM. We're doing this bit via email. They rightly asked for Dad's name, address, email, & phone nos. I began writing my email reply, then stopped. This is ordinary unencrypted email, so has all the privacy of a postcard. Letting anyone along the server-chain have all that info in one hit, seems to me to be an excellent start for them to commit #IdentityFraud.
