Wesley MooreI just tested the IceWM 4.0 update on Chimera. I have a fondness for IceWM as it was the first WM I ran on my work computer in my first job out of university. Great to see it still seeing new releases. Here it is running on my little loongarch64 box.
Maurizio Lo NobileI've released a bash script to automate the installation of IceWM 4.0.0 on AlmaLinux 9 from source. A lightweight X11 environment for VMs or lab setups without the overhead of a full desktop.
Targeted for AlmaLinux 9, but likely to work on other RHEL derivatives.

La transparencia (alpha blending) y el modo RGBA de 32 bits ahora están activados por defecto, lo que mejora cómo se ven ciertas transparencias sin tener que configurar nada.
Se eliminaron algunas opciones antiguas
👉 Estos cambios hacen que IceWM se adapte mejor a monitores modernos.
