Eric BeckmanAll of us in all of our communications, large and small, should emphasize the big truths to counter the big lies. The last two months as a Minnesotan have confirmed all of them.
Immigration is net positive, and attacking it harms society. Contrary assertions always involve fabricated or misinterpreted evidence.
All people posses dignity and should be treated as such.
The current regime is utterly lawless, post-Constitutional as its architects intended. We should all pick a favorite to hammer home in every conversation:
--Trump is not legitimately President, per the 14th Amendment
--Federal agents target people who entered the country legally under US law.
--Federal agents arrest people, based on race, and deprive them of the Constitutionally guaranteed right of habeas corpus by relocating them.
I appreciate this from Josh Marshall on tactical responses to the regime's rhetorical retreat from maximally violent ethnic cleansing:
"The point right now is not only to force big reforms or put limits on ICE. It’s to lock in public positions during a moment of flux and uncertainty."

just listened to last Wednesday's episode of #RadioTeranga which is a joint venture of #radioPatapoe in #Amsterdam & the son of a #Senegalese #artist activist #PapaSakho who was victim of a huge fire in a dutch #refugee prison in which many refugees died and he was severely injured & traumatised. he died last year..
