A number of folks have brought up AI being the reason for this Cloudflare gate. They are correct.

So what are the ways we can combat this without using gates that can lock folks out and enshittifying the internet?

There are many. Folks much smarter than me know about them.

Tried to find why my #Optus phone wasnt able to make calls.

Found two SMS from around 1:30 am telling me my balanced was low.
Thanks Optus but #IAmAHuman and was asleep at the time.
And one warning SMS from 4 days prior was not an attempted scam.

Didn't seem correct that my plan had expired.
Phoned Optus.
31 minutes were taken by Optus to tell me that only dates and recharge amounts from the last 3 months are readily available on the system.
smh
They promised to call back with the info.
Hmm??
