Prima il trionfo, poi una spiacevole sorpresa. La formazione Under 16 della Uyba Volley, società di pallavolo femminile di A1 di Busto Arsizio (Varese), fresca vincitrice del titolo provinciale di categoria, è stata vittima di un furto. Impegnate per alcuni giorni a Roma nel prestigioso “XV Randazzo International Tournament 2026”, le ragazze sono rimaste coinvolte in una spiacevole vicenda poco prima delle festività pasquali.
Il pulmino, parcheggiato nelle vicinanze della palestra dove si erano appena svolte le premiazioni, è stato infatti saccheggiato da ignoti che, dopo aver aperto il mezzo della società, hanno rubato i borsoni delle ragazze oltre agli iPad utilizzati da giocatrici e allenatori. I tablet sono stati poi tracciati in un vicino campo nomadi per alcuni minuti, ma presto gli autori del furto hanno disattivato la geolocalizzazione sparendo dai radar dei Carabinieri a cui la società ha fatto denuncia. I ladri hanno infatti rubato anche le maglie ufficiali delle ragazze che, domani, dovranno scendere in campo per un incontro valido per il campionato regionale. Senza maglia ufficiale rischiano di non poterlo fare. Di qui l’appello della società: “Restituite almeno le maglie rubate affinché le ragazze possano giocare così come meritano”.

First the triumph, then an unpleasant surprise. The Under 16 team of Uyba Volley, a women’s volleyball club in A1 from Busto Arsizio (Varese), recently victorious in the provincial championship of the category, was the victim of a theft. Engaged for several days in Rome at the prestigious “XV Randazzo International Tournament 2026”, the girls became involved in an unpleasant situation shortly before Easter.
The bus, parked near the gym where the awards ceremony had just taken place, was robbed by unknown individuals who, after opening the club’s vehicle, stole the girls’ bags as well as the iPads used by players and coaches. The tablets were later tracked in a nearby campsite for several minutes, but soon the perpetrators of the theft disabled the geolocation and disappeared from the radar of the Carabinieri (Italian military police) to whom the club had filed a report. The thieves also stole the girls’ official jerseys, which, tomorrow, will have to take to the field for a match valid for the regional championship. Without an official jersey, they risk not being able to play. This is why the club is appealing: “Return at least the stolen jerseys so that the girls can play as they deserve.”
