NOx emissions are a major problem with all hydrogen internal combustion engines, including turboprops. Besides NO and NO2, they often emit N2O.
GWP100 of N2O is 265-300x higher than CO2.
I doubt China is using SCR to limit NOx.
H2 fuel cells have higher efficiency and emit no NOx.

#electrochemistry101 tells you that as the electrolyzer input power increases from zero, the efficiency decreases. The obverse is true as well.

Furney (2018) says catalytic hydrogen oxidation NOx emissions are low, not ZERO!↘️↘️

Hyting claims 3% #H2 is safe. BUT safety regulations say 2% H2 is safe. PLUS 100% #hydrogen fuel is supplied before being diluted! Hyting still needs "rigorous explosion protection measures"!
