If I could offer you one piece of unsolicited advice, it'd likely be to secure your home with hurricane straps (i.e., clips, ties, etc.) that fasten each truss to the wall of the structure.
Tbh Im a bit shocked that in most parts of the country, these are not actually required. But hurricane straps better protect the roof from getting lifted off your house by extreme wind. Not just in hurricanes, but all strong wind, even up to EF-2 tornadoes. Straps are just a couple hundred bucks at MOST, and they provide better protection for everything/one inside your house from more extreme weather. They also keep your roof from becoming a wind-born projectile that smashes into something else... keep that off your conscience.
Yall, our weather is doing weirder things now... Tornadoes in Chicago, hurricanes in New York, now a #hurriquake in SoCal. So consider installing hurricane straps.
