AGI - In Egitto è stata confermata in appello la condanna a sei mesi di carcere per la cittadina italiana Nessy Guerra, madre di una bambina di tre anni e mezzo contesa. La 26enne originaria di Sanremo era stata denunciata dall'ex marito italo-egiziano per adulterio, previsto come reato penale nell'ordinamento egiziano, e condannata in primo grado il 19 febbraio.
La Farnesina assiste la connazionale
La Farnesina, attraverso l'Ambasciata d'Italia al Cairo e la rete consolare al Cairo e Hurghada, ha riferito che segue il caso con la massima attenzione da diversi mesi, assicurando assistenza legale e protezione alla connazionale e alla figlia, oltre a varie forme di sostegno anche economico, amministrativo e personale, alla luce delle ripetute minacce denunciate dalla signora Guerra come provenienti dall'ex coniuge che in Italia è stato condannato in via definitiva per stalking, maltrattamenti e lesioni.
Nel corso della vicenda, le autorità egiziane non hanno autorizzato la partenza dal Paese della bambina, oggetto di una contesa legale per l'affidamento; sulla minore il padre ha fatto imporre dai giudici un divieto di espatrio. Il caso, assicura la Farnesina, viene ripetutamente posto all'attenzione delle autorità egiziane dall'Ambasciatore d'Italia al Cairo e dallo stesso Ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani, che ne ha discusso direttamente con il collega egiziano Badr Abdelatty, ribadendo la necessità di garantire pieno rispetto dei diritti della cittadina italiana. L'udienza per l'affidamento della bambina Aisha, a quanto si è appreso, si dovrebbe tenere il 3 giugno.

The Italian court has upheld the six-month prison sentence for Italian citizen Nessy Guerra, mother of a three-and-a-half-year-old child in dispute, in an appeals court. The 26-year-old, originally from Sanremo, had been reported by her Italian-Egyptian ex-husband for adultery and was sentenced in the first instance on February 19th.

The Farnesina (Italian Foreign Ministry) is assisting the national.

The Farnesina, through the Italian Embassy in Cairo and the consular network in Cairo and Hurghada, has been following the case with the utmost attention for several months, providing legal assistance and protection to the national and her daughter, as well as various forms of support, including economic, administrative, and personal, in light of the repeated threats reported by Mrs. Guerra stemming from the ex-husband, who was definitively convicted in Italy for stalking, abuse, and assault.

During the affair, Egyptian authorities have not authorized the child, subject to a legal dispute over custody, to leave the country; the father had judges impose a ban on the minor’s emigration. The Farnesina assures that the case is repeatedly brought to the attention of Egyptian authorities by the Italian Ambassador in Cairo and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, who has directly discussed it with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty, reiterating the need to guarantee full respect for the rights of the Italian citizen. The hearing for the custody of the child Aisha is scheduled to take place on June 3rd.

Una vacanza di famiglia sulle coste del Mar Rosso si è trasformata in tragedia per un turista tedesco di 57 anni: l’uomo ha perso la vita dopo essere stato morso da un serpente all’interno di un resort a Hurghada, in Egitto. A renderlo noto – come riferiscono il Guardian e la Cnn – è stata la polizia della Baviera, che ha ricostruito la dinamica di un incidente surreale, avvenuto all’inizio di aprile.
Il 57enne, originario del distretto dell’Unterallgäu in Baviera, si trovava in vacanza con due familiari in una delle mete balneari più frequentate dell’Egitto. Secondo quanto riportato in un comunicato ufficiale della polizia bavarese, il dramma si è consumato durante un’esibizione del “mago dei serpenti“, con due “incantatori di serpenti”, appunto, regolarmente inserita nel programma di animazione dell’hotel. Lo show prevedeva l’utilizzo di due rettili — ritenuti essere dei cobra — che venivano appoggiati attorno al collo degli spettatori per coinvolgerli direttamente nell’esibizione. Il momento fatale, tuttavia, è arrivato quando la performance si è spinta oltre: “L’incantatore di serpenti ha poi lasciato che uno dei rettili strisciasse nei pantaloni dell’uomo tedesco”, si legge nella dichiarazione della polizia. In quel frangente, l’animale lo ha morso a una gamba, iniettandogli il veleno.
Il potente veleno del rettile ha fatto immediatamente effetto: la vittima ha mostrato fin da subito “chiari segni di avvelenamento“, tanto da rendere necessarie le manovre di rianimazione sul posto prima del trasferimento d’urgenza in un vicino ospedale. Nonostante i tentativi dei medici, il 57enne è deceduto poco dopo il ricovero. Sulla vicenda è stata aperta un’indagine formale condotta dall’Ispettorato di Polizia Criminale di Memmingen, in Germania. Gli inquirenti tedeschi sono attualmente in attesa dei risultati degli esami tossicologici per confermare con assoluta certezza la natura del veleno e le cause esatte del decesso. L’aspetto più controverso della vicenda riguarda però la reazione del Paese ospitante: contattate dalle agenzie di stampa internazionali (tra cui Agence France-Presse e Cnn), le autorità egiziane hanno infatti dichiarato di non essere a conoscenza dell’incidente.

The 57-year-old, originally from the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria, was on vacation with two family members at one of Egypt’s most popular seaside destinations. According to a Bavarian police official statement, the drama occurred during a performance by a “snake charmer,” featuring two “snake charmers” regularly included in the hotel’s animation program. The show involved the use of two reptiles – believed to be cobras – that were placed around the necks of the spectators to directly involve them in the performance. However, the fatal moment arrived when the performance went too far: “The snake charmer then allowed one of the reptiles to crawl into the man’s pants,” the police statement read. In that moment, the animal bit him on the leg, injecting venom.

The reptile’s potent venom immediately took effect: the victim immediately showed “clear signs of poisoning,” necessitating resuscitation efforts on the scene before an urgent transfer to a nearby hospital.
