I am once again wanting our world of work to be based on doing things that directly improve the lives of others.

Why do I make this “direct” directive? Creating art may improve your life but also bring meaning to someone else. On the other side, creating a beautiful ad is nice, but the main purpose or biggest impact is creating wealth for others by cajoling (or shaming in some cases) folks into getting things they do not need to “improve” the lives of shareholders.

How much nicer might our world be if it wasn’t focused on creating wealth? What if mutual aid was more direct and less targeted? It’d be more efficient if it wasn’t being siphoned off to enrich others.

Who will bell the cat?

The system is designed to benefit those at the top at the expense of those at the bottom.For this reason, there is no incentive for those at the top, at the expense of the bottom, to challenge and change the system. The system needs to change for those at the bottom who are mostly at the receiving end with nominal resources and too much on their plate for day to day survival.

@SkepticalEye @palmerreport I feel a bit of optimism for #HumanSociety and #HomoSapiens, that #Republican #GeorgeSantos is feeling public pressure to resign public office due to his history of serial lying, dishonesty, corruption and lack of basic ethics.

However, too many are still in #Congress, in the #corporate #Democrats #Republicans upper class war pig party that are just as dishonest and corrupt as Santos, but they're smarter about it.
