What do you call a macro sized cyborg shark?
A mecha-lodon!
Commission for https://www.furaffinity.net/user/Violetneon56, featuring their enormous cyborg shark Salem! Granted I don't think she was this big before, but the size definitely suits her! The original idea was for her to loom over a regular sized city, but given that those mountains are meant to be as high as Mount Everest, at her size and the rough altitude the picture was taken from, any regular sized city would simply be gray splotches, and I wasn't really happy with my attempts to sell that looming size with the lack of detail within the cities. So the idea then shifted to having it be a remote village of giants, and while it's not easy to see at this resolution, there are smaller macro cities located in and around the lake and it's island along with the more obviously macro sized buildings.
Overall I'm really happy with how this came out! Salem was really fun to work on, her various cyborg parts quite a departure from my usual stuff, but still a blast to be able to do something a little different! Salem is also a bit of a goofball, as there's three versions of her dialogue where she's cracking various jokes or making meme-y references! And I really like how that adorable chibi face came out! XD
