#HowToTrainYourDragon #LiveAction is an example in how to do a live action adaptation right.

They kept it nearly identical, tweaking things just the right amount to make it feel just a bit more "real" (which is exactly what is needed with live action). They took an incredibly soft approach with amazing balance to the changes for the different medium.

I'm sure it was helped by the fact that the movie is grounded in believability with minimal fantasy compared to something like Battle Angel Alita

They did drop a couple of lines that I think should have been kept (especially Stoic's "what have I done"). Maybe they got cut in editing because they didn't have good delivery? Who knows.

But IMO this is now the gold standard for "how to adapt an animated film to live action".
