Is this the worst of the mjd-2000s glut of horror remakes? No, certainly not. I still don't understand why they essentially took the name of a Vincent Price classic and melded some of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre creepy family vibe into it, but hey, at least we got the iconic Paris Hilton death scene which I recall getting a dammed near standing ovation in the theatre. Beyond that though, not much to see here.
