The Esoterium is a significant organization, constituted of smaller, loosely connected clandestine entities. These diverse occult groups elected to unite to curb the influence and devastation wrought by the various Walks of Darkness and their affiliated malevolent organizations. However, the distinct cabals that form the Esoterium, while sharing common objectives, are predominantly autonomous. Each is governed by its own Esotarch (the head of a given esotary) and harbors its own secretive agendas. Consequently, the Esoterium might appeaudioar as a stable consolidation of like-minded factions, but in actuality, these alliances are frequently fragile, with each cabal pursuing their individual objectives. Despite this, the Esoterium has proven efficient in halting the spread of dark forces influencing the world. Some of the groups in the Esoterium include 9th House, the Consortium of Doors, the Keepers of a Thousand Secrets, the Sinastradi, and many others.

The Holy City of Ming was a joint effort to exemplify the unity born from the new trade alliance and cultural blending of India and China, a state of affairs that developed as a natural outgrowth of mutual need after the Great Darkness of 1999. This city served as a cultural bridge between the two nations, birthing new industries and neo-cultures born from the intersection of both county's traditions and norms. For a while, the city flourished, becoming a mecca, of sorts, for those seeking new philosophical and religious landscapes, as well as new business ventures about proprietary tech that was coming out of the city. However, this alliance eventually broke down for geopolitical reasons, making the metropolis a battleground for competing nationalists.

Located in the rural village of Huckamore, England is the Obscurrum known as the "HornHouse Zoo." The place can be found by traveling a winding path through the nearby woods, which leads to various "exhibits" of extraordinary size. Some of the cages are seven to eight stories high and twice as wide. Moreover, giant claw and teeth marks have been found on the stone walls of some exhibits, along with large feeding pits filled with human, and inhuman, remains. Some believe that giant beasts or monsters were housed there for viewing during the Great Darkness of 1999. Skeptics, however, see it as just another symptom of the madness humanity suffered due to a unique solar event that caused them to lose both their minds and memory.

The City of Nighthead is home to many urban legends and myths. One of these urban legends concerns a creature called "Deadbag." The tale comes from the fact that, after the Great Darkness of 1999, there were so many bodies that survivors didn't know where to store them all. As a result, corpses were thrown into large alleyways to clear the streets. Some believe the spirits of those left to waste consolidated into the entity known as Deadbag - a large centipede-like creature comprised of hundreds of body bags, moving about by arms and legs that have managed to slip the confines of their prison. It is said to wander the back lanes and forgotten slums of Nighthead, capturing wayward drunkards and vagabonds, adding them to its bulk.

However, her goal is not to socialize but to take the stage and sing before the audience. Her songs are said to start well enough - beautiful and serene. However, as the song progresses, the audience is met with a different melody. Those who claim to have heard her perform say her music is the sound of worlds ending, apocalyptic symphonies that cause the crowds to scream in horror. They say it is the discordant song of the end of all things, the death of God and all his creations. Witnesses also claim she transforms into a dark creature, a thing serenading the world with hymns of doom. It is said those who hear her dreadful music hear it for the rest of their lives, the tunes of Armageddon forever playing in their heads.
