I don’t understand the outrage at at giving trans teens and adults #hormoneblockers blockers by the same parents who gave their children #growthhormones so they would fit in better and/or improve in sports. Hypocrisy at its best.

@hackernews you do realize this is anti-#trans #propaganda, since #HormoneBlockers are reversible whereas #GDR athletes were neither informed nor consented to said #doping with literal #testosterone.

Shit like this is part of the genocidal politics of the #UK to basically criminalize trans people for existing and outright killing them systematically.

@PeterRu one thing that’s a struggle is that lawmakers seem not to care that they’re making law to address a non-existent problem in our state. They’ve brought in Chloe Cole to tell them how kids are forced and people regret their #hormoneblockers and surgeries. She posting on the bird site about saving kids in #idaho when no one but sadistic hard right law makers invited her here to criminalize a freedom so fundamental to who people are, freedom of #gender and #GenderExpression the right to live with hope and not be forced into a gender that does not fit us or makes us despair. #lgbtq #genderqueer #trans #transgender #transgenderrights

These stories are progress and hope. Meanwhile #idaho hard right law makers are proposing HB71 to punish doctors & parents with five years in prison for allowing those under 18 to take hormone blockers. Surgeries would be banned. The bill makes absurd declarations about the effects off gender reassignment without ever mentioning the benefits of letting teens live in the gender they belong in or use #hormoneblockers to gain time to know fully where in #gender they fit. It doesn’t mention the devastating effect or cruelty of such bans on the young adults and teens they pretend to care about and pretend they want to protect. #transgender #idleg #idpol #trans #lgbtq #idaholgbtq
