Can we please kill the movie trope of "tragic fate-ridden man who lost all hope, finds something new to live for and then dies"? It is so immensely bleak and I don't like that men around the world are taught that they only find happiness when they are willing to accept, that it will be brutally taken from them, one way or another.
Just f***ing kill this trope! Burn it, pour molten lead over it and drown it in the deepest ocean, ugh!!!!
