There have been many threads mentioning how the lack of language filters on personal timelines (including your home timeline) causes issues.

Does it do any good to boost & favorite toots that are already posted in my #HomeTimeline?

I do it but I don't know if it matters. 🤷

#Fediverse In #mastodon I have filters on to not show #toots #posts with some words in them e.g. cat (I like cats but ...).
When someone boosts a post and that boost puts the post into my home timeline, then the boosted posts with the filter term, e.g
cat , are not filtered out. Can I change this? Can I get posts boosted by people I follow to be subject to filtering too, so that they do not show on my #hometimeline ? Thanks! #Fosstodon #Tusky

Wie kann es sein, dass ich sowas (Screenshots unten) in meiner Home Timeline habe, wenn ich weder diesem Fake Account folge, noch den jemand geteilt hat, dem ich folge? (Zumindest steht da niemand, der es teilte...).???
Fehlfunktion? Neues Feature?

Does anybody look at their #Mastodon instance's #LocalTimeline or #FederatedTimeline on a regular basis, or are you just going, "Yeah, whatever's in my #HomeTimeline is fine"?

Several times a day, I turn off #Boosts and #Replies in my #HomeTimeline so I can read and interact directly with the original content of the people I #follow, esp the original content I might have missed in-between all the boosts.
