It seems I forgot to document the #homespun #yarn adventure other than to my mother, so here's the journey so far. Only blocking left to do. It's a candy cane scarf. Had to spin some extra yarn though.
It took some tries and time to choose the number of stitches but it is a very basic "Baltic herringbone" stitch, called 'sillben' in Swedish. Six of those, flanked by one standard knit stitch on each side. Repeat until done.

I'm so happy about this armful of homespun 😊 I spun the singles on my spinning wheel, and then I did a 3-ply on my drop spindle so I'd get bigger skeins. I think I've met the weight for Alafosslopi, so hopefully I'll be casting on the Night horse pattern by Linka Neumann in a couple of days 😄
