Just brushed the colors (which turned out to have been pearlescent, which is all well and good, I suppose) onto the tee-shirt for my niece.

Screen inks take a good long while to dry (though yellow seems to be the slowest to dry), so transferring the inkjet-printed characters and character labels might be a job for another day. For certain, I'll need to wait a few hours before the yellow is dry.

Embracing the flaws
(With a dull photo and some whatboring framing)

This photograph, taken on a dark evening with my reliable Fuji X100, is intensely noisy, and the ground is muddy with poor definition

I’m pushing the limits to see how this challenging image will resolve when printed on my Epson ET-8550.

Today I’m a bit disappointed with my prints: I expected a better look.

What I learned is that the more the masking tape ages, the hard is to get a void ink coverage.

This masking tape technique is a kind of “one and done”.

Ì also re-used a couple of plates I made weeks ago and the tape is so dry that I had to soak it in ink to get something barely acceptable.

Thinking about this, it’s not a bad thing: it makes what you print a true “original”
