i made some mistakes (the darker one is obviously too dark, it got two minutes extra and that was clearly too much). Also used slightly too much oil, so the crust is still a tiny bit greasy.

But wow, so good. And now my willpower is getting one hell of a workout.

after the misadventure with the bitter melon, i made a picke from it. and while that was cooling, i baked some crumbed chicken and served it up with a curried vegetable stew to act as the sauce, and you can see the cooked and pickled bitter melon on the side.
