Ferien in Adelboden (4)
Übernachtet haben wir in Adelboden – wie bereits erwähnt – im Ferien- und Familienhotel „Alpina“. Dieses ist – das sagt ja auch die Beschreibung – sehr familiär, und man kann dort entspannt Ferien verbringen. Meine Frau kannte das Hotel schon früher, aus ihrer Jugendzeit, und als Familie haben wir es später auch kennen und schätzen gelernt.
Die „Alpina“ war denn auch sozusagen unsere Homebase in diesen Tagen. Eine sehr angenehme Homebase: Frühstücksbuffet, 3-Gang-Auswahlmenü am Abend, Kinderprogramm (ok, das brauchten wir zwei wirklich nicht), Spa (oder wie man den Hot Pot auf der Terrasse auch immer nennen will; auch diesen benutzten wir nicht), ruhiges Zimmer mit dem Wildstrubel-Panorama an der Wand (wenigstens da, wenn nicht in echt …) und sehr freundliches Personal.

Formed in the summer of 2023, Homebase was born from the end of an era and the beginning of something louder, faster, and more focused. What started as a friendly gathering—equal parts jamming, pizza, and an unhealthy amount of alcohol—quickly turned into a band once the chemistry became impossible to ignore. Sitting squarely between New Jersey and New York, Homebase set out to channel the urgency of hardcore with the hook-driven punch of pop punk, striving for a sound that feels both aggressive and anthemic.
It's only sort-of the Internet in my case. I might have browsed the odd #DIY store in my time. (-: You have to pull the rods out of a special storage rack with deep slots.

#Jewson's 2400mm rods are probably overkill, and my nearby Jewson is a lot less geared towards casual non-trade customers just going in and browsing so I've not really seen its rod collection in person.
