Well what do you know – The Electronics Flea Market (EFM) has moved back to Saturday mornings and if you park in lot 2 it is free. Looks as we get to share the campus with the farmer’s market, so I get to peruse fruit & veg for the week and get my nerd on. Hopefully I will find another security appliance from a vendor I do not have yet for my test rack in the garage.

Until yesterday my phone could connect to my #homewifi.

Then, early this morning (shortly pass midnight) the house seemed to lose power for a moment and my phone has lost connection since.

Every time I try to connect I get "authentication error occurred."

I have restarted my phone, several times, I have "forgotten" the #network and added it back, re-entering the password. I've done everything I know how to do but disconnect and reconnect the #wifi, lest I screw up connection for my house.

you can get #OpenWRT installed on those #Google #Wifi #pucks (AC-1304).

It is a bit of a challenge, since you are flying blind based on the light colors and blinking of the puck; along with the typical poor documentation of open source projects (as typical, written as someone is well familiar with the topic and process, rather than written in a #KISS for the #n00b).

today i got an alert that a new “buffalo device” connected.

i didn’t know what it was, so i disabled it. should i be worried?

Home networking for office being built in back garden. Do I just go with 2.5Gb or just say sod it and go for the full 10Gb (which I'd probably never use tbh). Already have 3 x Cat7a layed so no issue with bandwidth. And pull ropes to pull some fibre if I "REALLY" have to have it.

Thinking Zyxel 2.5Gb with 10Gb uplinks and a Ubiquiti WIFI7 AP for the building.

Any thoughts from anyone?
