Im sitting out at Hole in the Rock - a small passage that was blasted by the mormons just wide enough to fit wagons down. It’s a 45 degree slope through a rock formation down to the Colorado river.

Mormon pioneers blasted this path and used ropes to lower their wagons to the river, where a party had been sent ahead to build a “just-good-enough” ferry that carried the travelers across.
