@JingleDJ Thanks! I've done a bit more reading and experimentation and (along with some other suggestions from folk) I'm fairly confident about things. But it's not natural is it?! Anyway, it is what it is. No changing it now - although installing PyScript or AppDaemon is appealing (even though I've never used Python in anger (yet...) - I'd still be a lot more productive I think)...

I haven't enjoyed the last two days. They have been filled with people complaining that they have to pay for repairs to their computers, stunned that quotes for equipment are more than £3.27, and irritated that they've had to wait more than thirty seconds to be shown how to merge two cells in Excel even though we don't even offer that type of support contract.

"Get into IT." they said: "You'll find it interesting and rewarding, " they said.

Every now and then, I drop by #Bluesky and #Threads, but they kinda feel like a roundabout to nowhere to me. TwiX? Not even for a paycheck. Mastodon is my jam, always. Lately, I've been on a smug cloud, until this AM – realized my timeline’s been on ‘home’ mode for the past two weeks. Dabbled in 'federated' for a hot minute and that was enough drama for me! Guess I'm not about that social media life, just my cozy, curated corner. #HoHum
