we don't learn a lot about the origins of humankind in school. why is that? as a kid history was my favourite subject, & bc in religion history plays a big part, in particular the origins of man, i asked a lot of questions. my religion teacher was our family's local protestant vicor, who also taught me at sunday school. i bet he couldn't stand me cause i was asking a lot of questions, like, 'how can joseph be jesuses' father if you tell me that god is?'.
he got so angry his face went red
and he shouted at me to get out to see the headteacher. this experience defo was a seed of punk being planted & nurtured intensively over following yrs. around the same time my parents stopped going to church & started to widen their horizon.
this film is teaching me more history lessons cause still now i want to know the answers.
