#Voyager Episode Flesh and Blood
I like the #Hirogen but they are also kinda ridiculous. I think perhaps they should have a culture beyond hunting - you know, flesh them out a bit.
But the F&B episode is a good one, I think. It certainly has parallels with what happening today with so-called #AI. The hologram algorithms encourage them to get better an better at fighting until they are too powerful for the Hirogen.
It's a great idea.
I like the doctor's part in this also; how he was duped ...
... The diplomacy didn't work for me. The crew had been repeatedly tortured and injured then Janeway was all: Let's settle this.
It just conjured up the notion of an occupying force in a person's country - colonialism. But the episode was saying talking about it will solve the situation.
I think there needed to be more to disarm the #Hirogen before discussion could take place. And if giving them technology is the best decision (since Voyager is lost in space) it should be better emphasised.
