Two years ago, after a snowstorm. I wasn’t out to take photos—just exploring. Then the clouds dropped below me, the sky cleared, and Mont Blanc stood still under a single lenticular cloud. The last light of sunset painted the peaks in soft pink and purple. I had my camera in the pack… and I’m glad I did.
