High Surf Advisory for west facing shores of Hawaii Island is canceled.
However NWS has extended the High Surf Advisory for all northeast facing shores of Hawaii Island from Upolu Point in North Kohala to Cape Kumukahi in Puna through this evening.
All beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers, exercise caution and heed all advice given by Ocean Safety Officials. And, when in doubt, donāt go out.

Ventura County collecting damage reports for submission for disaster recovery efforts. Per officials:
REPORT SURF/TIDAL FLOODING DAMAGE
Ventura County Emergency Services, in coordination with the City of Ventura and Oxnard, are gathering information from residents who have experienced damage to their homes and vehicles as a result of the December 28 high surf event. This information will be used to assist local authorities in accurately determining the extent of damages from this event. All information submitted will be kept confidential.
