#Ghost Types are the most openly dangerous, with motives ranging from life-threatening pranks to open murderous intent to simply being too friendly with a deadly side-effect (eg Graveard and Mimikyu), and are very difficult to deal with without specialized knowledge, pokemon, and perhaps the ability to even see them. They also have a huge amount of potential utility when handled by a specialist trainer who has made them somewhat friendly to humans, both in dealing with other pokemon and more mundane threats.

If we assume the primary reason pokemon trainers are so elevated in society is the need to defend and the sheer utility of someone who befriends literal forces of nature, Hex Maniacs more than make up for the "weird/creepy/unshowered" personas.
