#TTRPG #herogames A long time ago (hero 4th ed.) I had a ton of notes on campaigns and fantasy devices and on and on. In ClarisWorks.
#TIL #LibreOffice opens ClarisWorks files, recovering my notes!
I’m repurposing my old Fantasy Hero campaign into #OpenD6. I don’t know why, but it’s grabbed my brain and won’t let go.

Spent a bit of time tinkering with this online combat tracker for the Hero System. Seems to be a work in progress, but it did a pretty smooth job with the sample characters I imported (a couple of pre-gens from Darren Watts’s Golden Age Champions supplement). I hope the designer keeps working on it.
The game that fascinates me the most *mechanically* is the Hero System, even though I've had few opportunities to run or play it. Compared to many other relatively complex systems it has a real depth and logic to much of it.
The current standard rulebook for the game is called Champions Complete. Today I abruptly realised that it sounds like a brand of dog food and I have no idea what to do with that thought.
Heavy day on the post front, with everything arriving at once.
This one is a collection updating previously published villains to the current edition of the Champions rules, rather than being a book of people you didn't get on with during your school days. Some fun characters inside, along with original illustrations going back to the early eighties, and of course it's also available in PDF.
